Accomplishing of Digital Academy of Literature: contradiction of development possibilities and user aspects

Digital Academy of Literature (www.irodalmiakademia.hu) (DIA) as part of the Hungarian cultural heritage project on digital media is supported by the Ministry of Culture contains more than 2000 books in digitalized full text SGML standard format from Contemporary Hungarian Writers and their biography and increases continuously. Through the web application - developped on bases of OLIB system provides a sophisticated search and download facility. The free of charge service has a very wide range of users with very different technical infrastructure, network connection and workstation. Contradiction between application of new technologycal methods and the different expectations of technical and financial capabilities of users is to be exemined and to find a suitable solution.

The first part of the proceeding presents some of typical system properties, the second part deals with aspects of the development and applied tools and finally the collected experienses during service providing, comments and questions of users and possible future system modification and development.
