Learning Technology System - Gentle WBT

In the firrst part of my talk a short overview of he Learning Technology Sysytems Architecture (LTSA) will be presented. The LTSA draft specification provides a framework for understanding existing and future systems. It covers a wide range of systems, commonly known as learning technology, computer-based training, intelligent tutoring, education and training technology, etc.

In the second part, the knowledge management based eLearning system, the Hyperwave Gentle WBT will be presented. The system is set up in KFKI RMKI (KFKI Research Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics). The Gentle WBT system is an interactive, Web-based on-line training system for distribution and administration of multimedia educational material over the Internet or in intranet. It combines the benefits of distance learning with the advantages of "learning together" in a traditional classroom. It addresses today´s needs of universities and corporations to deliver cost-effective, easy-to-use training courses to employees and students - anytime, anywhere.
