IPv6 in production

The Tipster6 project (http://tipster6.ik.bme.hu) aims to help the introduction of the IPv6 protocol in Hungary. The Hungarnet/NIIF network, initiated by the Tipster6 project, has acquired a production IPv6 prefix from RIPE. An address allocation mechanism by which IPv6 prefixes from the available address space can be requested will be discussed. The current topology of the Hungarian IPv6 network will be shown and we summarize the status of the IPv6 support of operating systems and applications.
