Data Warehouse is a useful tool for decision-makers. Operational databases and other data sources are basic components of a data warehouse architecture. Tools for analysing, querying and data mining are in connection with the information database of the data warehouse, whose data is derived from operational databases. During the implementation of the data warehouse, there is a need for connection to data sources via gateways. Physical transformation of data purifies data and checks its integrity before loading into the information database. This paper is about using different methods, techniques and software tools (ORACLE, SAS, MS SQL Server) during the data transformation process.
