local databases on a common, unified interface hiding the structural
differences of the source databases.

of the interface of the OPACs to the style of the information portals,
intelligent navigation, extension of the opportunities of pre-selection.

supply conflicting demands (e.g. different display of relevant information for
users searching documents or bibliographical data).

The
OPAC has to be prepared to serve non-traditional documents: manuscripts,
postcards, microfilms, films, etc. Idea of ”record map”.

supply needs of circulation through OPAC. Plans, ideas.
